Nelson M. Skalbania, B.Ap.Sc., M.Sc., P.Eng.
CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder

Mr. Skalbania is responsible for the overall operations of Mag One Products Inc. and its subsidiaries. A professional engineer and graduate from UBC and the California Institute of Technology (CalTech), he began his career as a Consulting Structural Engineer and formed McKenzie Snowball Skalbania engineering firm. For almost twenty years Mr. Skalbania was president and majority owner of this successful firm and grew the company to over 100 staff in four locations. Mr. Skalbania then expanded into an extensive and highly successful real estate career where he owned and operated properties all over North America.  In addition, he has been an owner of 10 different professional sports teams and involved in over 100 businesses including technology, mining, manufacturing, and oil services to name a few.


Gillian Holcroft, B. Eng., M. Eng.
President & Director of Mag One Products Inc.
President & CEO of Mag One Operations Inc.
(wholly-owned subsidiary of Mag One Products Inc.)

Ms. Holcroft, a bilingual executive chemical engineer with 28 years of experience, is responsible for developing and executing the strategy/roadmap to engineer, construct and operate a facility that will cost effectively produce high purity Magnesium Oxide as well as other by-products from serpentine tailings, with the ultimate goal of producing Mg metal.  Gillian is also responsible for leading the commercialization efforts for Magboard, Mag Power and other future ventures and projects.

Mag One Products Inc. will benefit from her vast experience which includes Mining and Metallurgical process development and operations (including magnesium metal production), the commercialization of advanced technology, green field EPC project management, US Department of Defence as well as International Trade.  She is recognized for her strong planning abilities as demonstrated by negotiating and directing large and extremely complex projects.  As a senior executive and board member in a market leading environmental technology company she provided leadership and strategic direction and was recognized for her excellent communication skills and vision in opening new markets. She played a vital role in taking a private company public through financing efforts in Canada and Europe so is instrumental for Mag One.


James G. Blencoe, Ph.D
Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder

Blencoe earned a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1968, and a Ph.D. degree in Geology from Stanford University in 1974. He has more than 40 years of experience designing, constructing, operating and maintaining specialized equipment for advanced chemical production. He is an expert on the thermophysical properties and phase relations of solids, liquids and gases, and he has developed numerous techniques for the precise and accurate control and measurement of chemical composition in actively-reacting open and closed systems. Prior to entering the private sector in 2007 as Founder, President and CEO of Orion Laboratories, LLC, Blencoe spent 24 years working at the reknowned Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee and 9 years working at The Pennsylvania State University. Blencoe has been inventing advanced processing techniques for magnesium production for more than a decade. He has published more than 50 articles and reports in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and technical magazines, and he is the lead author of three U.S. patents on magnesium production and developed the patented and patents-pending technologies Mag One now owns.


G. Bernard Coulombe, Ingénieur minier
Mining Engineer

Mr. Coulombe has over thirty years' experience, with all aspects of mining engineering, geological engineering, production and management of projects in Quebec.

He has also been on many Boards of Directors including Placer Dome, Niocan and Ashton Mining.

Mr. Coulombe was instrumental in Mag One securing access to the vast, ongrade stockpile of serpentinite tailings from Mine Jeffrey. Since he was CEO and President of Mine Jeffrey Inc. for over twenty years, his intimate knowledge of the site, tailings, people and possibilities will greatly benefit Mag One.

He is married with two children and lives in Quebec near Mag One's tailings and pilot plant site.


Charn Deol

Charn Deol has over 35 years of experience in the financial markets. Mr Deol currently serves on both private and public company boards as a director or in a management capacity. His past and current experience includes providing management and consulting services to companies, project analysis, investor relations, technical market analysis and the financing of international projects. Mr. Deol has extensive experience in international business development having previously been a senior partner in a Futures trading firm (Evergreen Futures) with operations in Canada and Asia and negotiating mining projects internationally.



David Lemieux, B. Eng.
EVP Dundee Sustainable Technologies Inc (DST) and Consultant to Mag One.

DST in Thetford Mines, Quebec, led by Mr. David Lemieux a Chemical Engineer from the University of Sherbrooke, will act as Mag One's Project Support Team for all phases of the hydrometallurgical piloting effort.

DST has years of experience in the development of hydrometallurgical processes for the mining industry, including asbestos tailings. Mr. Lemieux successfully led the development of DST technologies at a pilot scale on the beneficiation of asbestos tailings to recover nickel.

He is also co-inventor of 9 patents owned by DST and has published more than a dozen papers. In addition, Mr. Lemieux has supervised the construction of DST's 15 tonnes per day ("TPD") Demonstration Plant.


Jagmohan Singh, Ph.D

Experienced geochemist with more than 14 years experience in field and laboratory research in geological sciences including experimental work on thermodynamic properties of binary mixtures of H2O-CO2-CH4-N2 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN, USA, field and laboratory research on mineralogy of Ni-Cu-Co deposit of Labrador, Canada (at University of Toronto), experimental mineralogy and petrology at University of Hannover, Germany and field and laboratory research on deformation of sulfides in low grade metamorphic rocks of Lesser Himalaya (Panjab University, India). Research findings published in internationally acclaimed peer reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. More than 10 years experience in information technology: managed projects with combined budgets of millions of dollars.

David Dreisinger, Ph.D
Senior Advisor

David Dreisinger holds the position of Professor and Chairholder of the Industrial Research Chair in Hydrometallurgy at the University of British Columbia (UBC).  At UBC, Dr. Dreisinger supervises a wide ranging program of research and development in pressure leaching of ores and concentrates, solution purification and use of electrochemical methods for metal recovery.  Dr. Dreisinger has published extensively and has received (with co-workers) 19 U.S. patents for work in areas such as pressure leaching, ion exchange removal of impurities from process solutions and use of thiosulfate as an alternative to cyanide in gold leaching.  Dr. Dreisinger has received a number of awards including the Sherritt Hydrometallurgy Award (1993), the Metal Chemistry Award from CMSC (2001), the Extraction and Processing Division Science Award from the TMS (2005) and the INCO Medal (2008).  Dr. Dreisinger has been named a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.  Dr. Dreisinger has been actively teaching short courses around the globe through the Industrial Research Chair in Hydrometallurgy.  The Chair is sponsored by 18 international companies with an interest in Hydrometallurgy.  Dr. Dreisinger is a director of PolyMet Mining and Search Minerals and an officer of Baja Mining and Tri Metals Mining.


Robert R. Odle, Ph.D.
Technical Advisor

Robert R. Odle, Ph.D. is an extractive metallurgist with 40 years of experience in non-ferrous metals including Cu, Ni, Pb, Co, Zn, and Mg. Dr. Odle has worked as a process engineer in both hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical facilities.  He has worked as a lead process design engineer with Fluor on projects up to billion dollars in size. He was the lead process engineer for Fluor for the Australian Magnesium Project when the pilot plant was being constructed and the design and cost estimate for the commercial plant was being finalized.

In the last decade, he has worked in process development for both startups and established companies. He has helped clients obtain about a dozen patents and has assisted in the design and construction of several pilot plants. He has used proprietary software for several clients to estimate the operating costs of proposed ventures.


Uri Z. Ben-Noon

Mr. Uri Z. Ben-Noon, an economics graduate with over 40 years of professional experience, will act as a strategic advisor to Mag One.  Mr. Ben-Noon was formerly CEO of Dead Sea Works Ltd (a division of ICL) which manufactures a broad range of chemical products including magnesium chloride flakes and operates a 35,000 tonne per year Magnesium metal production facility. He was the CEO of the Israel Electric Company and the Chairman of "Orta," a Mg die casting company, as well as the Chairman of several environmental and energy technology companies, and non-profit institutions. He published a book on his magnesium plant venture and 3 books on "Jewish law philosophy".


Donald A. Palmer, Ph.D
Technical Advisor

Donald Palmer, a bilingual (English/German) research scientist, earned a B.S. Honours degree and a Ph.D. in physical inorganic chemistry from The University of Western Australia. Prior to working at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Dr. Palmer spent 10 years as a researcher at three major universities: the Australian National University, the New York State University, and the University of Frankfurt. He retired from ORNL in 2007 after 27 years of service. Among many other research activities during his career, he measured the solubility of Mg(OH)2 and the hydrolysis of Mg2+ to high temperatures. Palmer was also Editor in Chief of the Journal of Solution Chemistry from 2003 to 2009. He is currently a member of two working groups within the Nuclear Energy Agency in Paris charged with the responsibility of evaluating thermodynamic data related to nuclear waste storage. He has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has written numerous technical reports for various sponsors. He is a co-author of two U.S. patents with Mag One's COO and co-founder Dr. James Blencoe.
